Stanley Speed (formerly Stanley Speed Solutions) was founded in 2012 by James Stanley, Jr. in what began as a quest to improve the performance of his friends & fellow racers using knowledge aquired since he began kart racing in 2005.
James Stanley's kart racing journey began at the age of 14 when his late uncle Ed Richer asked him to come along and help Ed's son & driver - Dave Richer at dirt tracks throughout the state of New York. A quick learner, James soaked up karting information like a sponge from his uncle and cousin that summer.
Following both families move to North Carolina later that year, the learning process quickly ramped up from being placed in the heart of "racing country" just outside of Mooresville, NC.
In the fall of 2006 Ed asked James to drive one of his karts at their local race track, Millbridge Speedway, in Salisbury, NC. Right out of the gate, James ran in 2nd place for most of his first ever feature event until his engine chose to expire late in the race. From then on, all he wanted to do was race and be involved in karting. The 2006 racing season finished with a handful of starts and competitive runs in every race.
In 2007 Stanley bought his first kart (Phantom Phenom) and hit the dirt a bit more often. He began competing in adult classes, sniffing the checkered flag along the way, but never being able to visit victory lane. The next year, James picked up his first career win at a North Carolina King of the Clay event, then rallied off a few more victories before the year was through. In 2009, he picked up his first career championship in the NC King of the Clay series.
After several years of driving for the Richers with great success, Stanley branched out on his own in 2012 and developed the Stanley Speed Solutions program to offer his knowledge & services to the karting community. Then, in April, 2013 James was hired by Phantom Racing Chassis as sales manager which propelled his racing career to new heights due to his involvement with the top chassis manufacturer in the karting industry.
Since his driving career began in 2006, James Stanley Jr. has picked up hundreds of feature wins, several national, state, & local championships, and has won thousands of dollars behind the wheel of a kart.
Stanley Speed by James Stanley offers a variety of services including (but not limited to) new PRC kart assembly, kart scaling, seat mounting, body mounting, kart repairs, trackside support & labor, tire rentals, tire prepping, tire cutting, etc.

Obtaining higher speeds and performance from your kart increases the risk of injury. Stanley Speed does not assume any liability from labor performed and/or advising its customers in performance.
